Buffet!

Yea, you saw it, BUFFET! Had dinner at Holiday Inn The Atrium! RJ and I went there to gorge ourselves! Hahaha! Here's what I had.....

I started off with a customed pasta. I went over the counter and choose my sauce and ingredients and they cook it on the spot for me. I had pasta in white cream with mussles and green peppers.

I went on to have salad with sadly I forgot to take it down coz it looks too delicious. It's mixed peppers with walnut, alfalfa sprouts dressed with Italian dressing. Sweet!

Next up on the menu was sushi and sashimi! Yay! Too bad they didn't have maguro but the skyfish sashimi made up for the lost. The sashimi was handled on the spot, which I was rather glad it was. The freshness of the sashimi was not bad but for the sushi, alittle too long on the shelves. On the overall for the sushi part, average.

Then I had rice with beef stew and seafood casserole. I pretty enjoyed the beef stew as it was pretty strong in flavour. Another plus for the stew was that they included beef stomach which just completes the dish. Gomen, I didn't take it down either.

By this time, most peeps out there would already feel their stomach filling up but I'm not satisfied yet. So I went on to have curry beef with veal chin and wedges! The curry beef was alittle tougher than expected. The veal chin made up for the curry beef. Marinated with red wine, the meat was tender and every piece came with a tendon. Perfect!

Since it's alot of meat and a little of other stuff, I came to settle with a bowl of potato soup with bagette and foccacia. The potato soup was great and was definitly on par with what you'll expect from a resturant. The bread was good too, crispy on the outside soft on the inside. And you get to toast them too! Too bad Wendy wasn't there to enjoy the butter bread. Heee!

Dessert! Sweet treats for a sweet tooth! Yea, there was waffle and fruits and ice-cream. There were also about 15 types of condiments so the range was more than usual! I tried to create something like a Halloween ice-cream waffle but yea, not scary. The kiwi sauce was great, not too sweet, just nice. The soaked oranges were also juicy and sweet! The whole dish just balnced off between sweetness and sourness!

On the whole, it was about a 7 course meal if I were to do a check list. The service was pretty good over there and I would rate it one of the best. 9.2 /10 I think. 1st time I had buffet which everytime I return to the table, the dishes are alrdy cleared. The waiters were nice and friendly too!

The overall bill was cheap too! Each of us only had to pay 18 including service charge and GST! But that's because I had a complimentary meal.

The best thing was when we left, we realised we forgot to order from the menu which is also included in the buffet. We totally forgot about the fish and chips, grilled steak and the others! Oh my! And I even forgot to take the cheese section! This can only mean 1 thing, I'm making another trip there!

After the meal, we were so bloated that we decided to take a stroll around and we walked all the way to Clarke Quay. Chatted and enjoyed each others' company. Hahaha! We are so GAY, NOT!

Yea, so if anyone interested, you can make a call to me and we'll go for buffet!
